Clarifying Technologies
Clarifying
Technologies (CT) is professional products and services company dedicated
to serving the law enforcement and security communities, as well as
their missions. As such, CT focuses on the technical surveillance
and forensic disciplines with a specialty in audio and video, particularly
technical surveillance and forensic filtering of the same. In addition
to manufacturing its own line of audio/video collection and filtering
products, CT provides training on technical surveillance and forensic
filtering, custom integration of tactical and laboratory
filtering systems, and enhancement bureau services. CT is headquartered
in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
Our
People
Our staff has years of combined expertise in disciplines vital to
law enforcement and security requirements, including technical surveillance,
media forensics, analog and digital signal processing (i.e. filtering),
user interface design and development, and training. We are not "johnny
come lately's" to the community - we've been here for years but have
come together under a new name to offer an invigorated, refreshed
set of products and services.
Our
Product Line
We take pride in providing state-of-the-art tools to both the field
and laboratory. The products for the field were developed or selected
based upon their ease of use, capability, and reliability. Examples
of CT products for the field include directional array microphones,
wall climbing robots, telescopes, viewing tubes, and accelerometers.
In a likewise fashion, the laboratory products offer flexibility,
power, and accuracy that are unmatched. Example laboratory products
include audio and video filtering (enhancement) software.

Service |
| We
offer training courses in audio and video technical surveillance
and forensic filtering, including product specific training on
the Clarifying Technologies and Signalscape® software-based
product families. These training programs have been given all
over the world and are oriented toward providing law enforcement
and security personnel with the necessary background, understanding,
and practical skills to correctly capture, record, playback, restore
and enhance real world audio and video media evidence. We pride
ourselves on making the course content easily approachable by
the layman, but still retained by and highly useful to even the
advanced student long after completion of the course(s). |
| Enhancement
Bureau Service |
Our
Enhancement
Bureau offers a multi-tiered service to restore and enhance your
electronic media evidence recordings, whether they are audio,
video, or combined audio/video. Our bureau service will evaluate
your recording to determine its potential to be made investigation
or court worthy. If found suitable, your recording will then be
analyzed, restored, and enhanced using state-of-the-art filtering
equipment and techniques to reduce interfering noises and make
it more understandable and less fatiguing to listen to. The improved
version will be returned along with your original and a full report.
